Learning by playing - Education in values through sport

Learning by Playing is a youth exchange that pursues young people’s comprehensive development through sport and non-formal education. 54 young people between 13 and 15 years of age from Spanish, Italian and Swedish futsal clubs along with their instructors, will meet in Alcala de Henares (Spain), between 22 and 28 of August 2016, to play and learn about values, such as tolerance, respect, equality, fair play and the importance of learning and education.

The project “Learning by Playing” is a youth exchange, based on non-formal education methodology, and aims active participation of young people in all stages and at all levels of its development.


To talk about sport is to talk about more than only a simple physical activity or a show. It also means to talk about its educational dimension as well as great social, cultural and reactive role.


Erasmus+ is the EU’s programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe in the years 2014-2020.  It is based on the achievements of European educational programs, which functioned for 25 years, and is the result of a merger of seven prior programs undertaken by the European Commission in previous years.
